GG 17 months ago

or is there any way that if a person sign in to yahoo messanger the cam connects its self by default...????

GG 17 months ago

hi there..... i knew this since very long time..... but i m wondering if a person forget to turn on the option "My Webcam" and then one try's to use this web cam on the other pc..... what would be the trick for that.....????

Ei 2 years ago

This is a nice idea, but unfortunately it needs the webcam window to already be opened. It's not much easier than going to the 2nd computer and sending an invitation to the 1st computer.

Hi compu-smart, How you doing? Only a compu-smart hacker knows smart ideas like this one. I didn't knew you were that smart.....hahaha just kidding.

This is the difference between regular use & creative use. Everyday people like me & others use Webcams to chat & view live videos. I never thought of using Yahoo messenger or others to monitor my home. Although idea is same when you are doing a video chat with some one they can see you & you can see them too.

It is very good idea but the only problem is people who have DSL internet connection can use this. In addition, your computer has to be permanently connected to the internet plus computer plug into power too. Therefore, it will be costly experiment.

Now I know you are really a compu-smart excellent hub & thanks for sharing your ideas.

Clever! I wonder if I could create 3 more accounts and have am accessable webcam in every room - since i have desktop in the office - a laptop wherever - and an old mac in the bedroom -hmmm, that could be fun (each computer has a unique ip, Ithink it will work!)

awesome idea - although hopefully I will never get in the habit of looking at it - taht could be addictive, and i will finally answer the question of what my dog does while im away!

Hi compu-smart, this is such a smart idea. A lot of businesses can save fortune, instead of buying those pricey monitoring devices...I would want to try this at home.

Compu-Smart,

The new technologies are so amazing. If this Web-Cam captures images at the Speed of Light, then I might be able to keep an eye on Fast Eddie.

Thanks, Barbie Perkins

To tell you the truth I would like to go out, leave my doors unlocked, windows open and which is pretty much the way I live! shhhh. I do lock up when I'm sleeping.

BTW compu-smart... did you know you left your monitoring system on last night ....and I see your cats are on the table! :)

Fascinating, compu-smart. You haven't been in touch with Big Brother, have you? This hub, along with your other hubs on Live Streaming Videos and How to See Your House Live, are giving me a good education on this subject. But what I'd like to know is who is watching me while I'm watching everyone and everything else?

Eddie Perkins 3 years ago

Very interesting.  I learn something new everyday. Now I can keep an eye on Barbie to make sure she is working while I'm resting.:)

Thank you. ~ eddie
